Abstract
This paper deals with control of a laboratory binary
distillation column used for separation of methanol from water.
The focus of this paper is the tutorial demonstration of the
model-free fuzzy control design for the laboratory device. The
performance and the control synthesis of the fuzzy control
approach are moreover compared with classical PID controller.
