Abstract
Models for the production/manufacturing, storing and distributionelements of supply chains are proposed based on lineardifferential equations. The models consider the dynamics ofinventories and production rates. A bounded control for theinventories of the mentioned elements is introduced for regulatingthe inventory level to a desired value manipulating production orincoming rates. Stability conditions are provided together withtuning rules. A simulation of a multi-product petro-chemicalsupply chain illustrates the application of the dynamic models andthe performance of the proposed controller.
