Abstract

The properties of delta model approximations of time delay systems obtained by means of first and second order numerical methods are investigated. A particular attention is paid to the relationship between the spectra of continuous and corresponding delta model. Based on the convergence between the delta model and the Laplace transform of the continuous time model, the convergence of the trajectories of the delta model poles to the spectrum of continuous time model is illustrated in the application example.
