Abstract
Infinite--dimensional linear dynamic systems, with output, arestudied. They are described by row-finite infinite matrices.Observability of such systems is investigated. It is shown thatobservability is equivalent to the property that one can calculatethe value of each state variable using only finitely many rows ofKalman observability matrix. Different necessary or sufficientconditions of observability of such systems are given.
