for the session on

DATA DRIVEN APPROACHES TO PROCESS CONTROL

American Institute of Chemical Engineers
1998 Fall Annual Meeting
15-20 November 1998
Miami Beach, Florida

Sponsored by the CAST 10B Division

This session will focus on creative ways to collect and use plant data
for process control and monitoring. We are interested in both theories and
applications. Some example topics are

- novel model structures
- new identification algorithms
- plant-friendly / control-relevant test design methods
- integration between identification and robust control

The deadline for abstract submission is March 15, 1998. NOTE that
this is much earlier than the general AIChE deadline. You will be notified
of our decision early May.

Submit your 500-1000 word abstract via the AIChEWeb at
http://www.aiche.org/docs/meetapp/programming/cfp.htm.
