BATCH PROCESS CONTROL

Sponsored by the CAST Division, Area 10b

American Institute of Chemical Engineers
1998 Annual Meeting
November 15-20, 1998
Miami Beach, Florida

Contributions are sought in the general area of batch process
control. Papers presenting new theoretical and/or application
results are solicited. Higher priority will be given to real-time
control studies and to contributions from the process industry.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to,

* Nonlinear model-based control of batch processes
* Simultaneous optimization and control of batch processes
* Industrial challenges in the control of batch processes
* Control-relevant model identification in batch processes

SUBMISSION DETAILS

By March 15, 1998, submit your 500-1000 word abstract via the AIChEWeb at
http://www.aiche.org/docs/meetapp/programming/cfp.htm.
Copies will then be sent automatically to the session chair and co-chair.

Note that the same abstract should not be submitted to more than one AIChE
1998 Annual Meeting session.

Abstracts will be reviewed anonymously and authors will be notified of the
results in the early May.

Please note that the CAST division abstract submission deadline of March 15
is one month earlier than the general AIChE deadline of 4/15/98.
