Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discuss the use of gain scheduling toimprove the performance of classical AQM controllers. We show thatby using gain scheduling it is possible to synthesise controllersable to better cope with unwanted variations of the networkoperating regime; for example variations of the round-trip time,the load or the buffer capacities. Simulations are provided tocompare the performance of the gain scheduled controller with thatof PI-based AQM control scheme.
