Core Competence Mangament in Virtual Industry Cluster
Abstract
Nowadays small and medium enterprises try to develop new competitive advantages in order to access global markets. Virtual Industry Clusters (VIC) are an alternative for these companies, in such a way, that the companies can joint forces and competencies in the development of Virtual Enterprises (VE). Once the VICs are created, a structured process that manage the members’ core competencies, allows the identification of the business opportunities, and impulse the creation of VE is needed. This article presents a model to manage core competences of VIC. Results of the use of this model in the Mexican-Industry.com case are also described
