Abstract
In this paper, an extremum-seeking controller is developed tosteer a periodic system to orbits that maximize a functional ofinterest. The problem is posed as a real-time optimal trajectorygeneration problem in which the optimal orbit is computed using anextremum-seeking approach. The control algorithm provides trackingof the optimal orbit. A drug delivery system is considered todemonstrate the application of the technique.
