Abstract
The control of bleaching and brightening reactions is important in the pulp and paper industry to ensure quality of the final product. This paper presents a review of the principal fundamental and practical aspects to consider when designing control strategies for bleaching and brightening operations. An approach is alsosuggested to minimize the operating costs of bleaching sequences.
