Abstract
The paper introduces a simulation package facilitating the education of discrete-time control theory. The package consists of three main parts: sampling phenomenon-aliasing-filtering, control design in polynomial (input-output) form and control design in state-space form. Beyond classroom demonstration, the simulator can be an effective tool to intensify self-study and distance education. It was created in the LabVIEW programming environment, which alloys the simplicity of graphical programming with the traceability of the analogue devices. Several examples are shown to demonstrate the features of the new tool. Copyright © 2005 IFAC
