Abstract
The performance of a networked decentralized model predictive control is analyzed and tested on an industrial process characterized by strong interactions. The proposed control architecture is based on a set of independent agents which implement independent model predictive control strategies and exchange a reduced set of information by a local network. The experimental results are satisfactoryand comparable with those obtained by the classical centralized model predictive control strategy.
