Abstract

In this paper, a state observer is proposed for the reconstructionof the concentration profiles in a simulated moving bed. Theapproach is based on a simple Luenberger-like correction term.Validating simulations are proposed to assess the efficiency ofthe proposed profile reconstruction and its robustness againstuncertainties on modelling parameters. Comparisons are also donewith open-loop simulation based-observer in order to strengthenthe relevance of the correction term.
