WHAT IS RELIABLE CONTROL?

Reliable control has been brought to attention by its contribution to system design according to the international standard on system safety, IEC 61508. This paper systematizes reliable control by clarifying its essence and meaning in accordance with the policy of IEC 61508. The systematization is indispensable for its further and great advances as the social environment surrounding system safety hopes.
