This paper investigates the design and implementation of different control schemes for a generation and motion system, which is characterized by the use of induction machines. Main applications are related with motion control in isolated power systems. Scalar control and feedback linearization control techniques of the motion system are presented. Computer simulation and experimental results confirm the validity of the control strategies developed in this work.
