CONSISTENCY RELATIONS IN PROCESS MODELING

Fundamental mass and energy balances that exist in process systems can be used for modeling. Elements of transfer function matrices come out to be dependent when these balances are observed. Examples are given on two process system models. These relationships have the potential of application in modeling, identification and model reduction.
