Precipitation of wax and solid paraffin is common problem in oil industry during exploration, transportation and treatment of crude oil. So, good knowledge of wax precipitation condition can assure us about a continuous flow. There are two approaches for the calculation of solid(s) fugacity. The first is based on solid solution and the second uses the multi-solid approach. It is experimentally proven that multi solid approach can provide us a better estimation of the quantity of precipitated wax. In order to calculate the fugacity of solid, a common method is the thermodynamic cycle method which was proposed by Prausnitz. Recently a new method is developed by Twu and his co-workers for this purpose which is utilized in this work. For characterization of oil samples Whitson method used. Different parameters that are needed for SEoS model were calculated. Some oil samples were used for model validation. Some of the oil data were gathered from literature and others were provided by in-house measurement of Iranian oil samples. There is a good correlation between calculated and measured WAT. Weak prediction of Iranian oil samples WCP returns to nature of our experiments and asphaltene nature of oil. Calculated parameters could be used for future works.
