Nina Thornhill

Nina Thornhill is a professor in the Department of E&E Engineering at University College London (UCL) and is a member of the Imperial College/UCL Centre for Process Systems Engineering. Her research interests are process data analysis and plant-wide performance assessment with applications in oil, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

Nina gained her Bachelors degree in physics from Oxford University and M.Sc. in Control Systems from Imperial College London. She worked for ICI for 6 years before joining UCL in 1984 and in 1992–1995 held an Industry Fellowship with BP. She has a particular interest in industrial applications and has completed several collaborative technology transfer projects.
