Session 75 - Catalytic Hydrogen Generation - General II
Catalysts have an important role in generation of hydrogen from fossil fuels such as natural gas and coal as well as biorenewable feedstocks for the applications such as methanol/ammonia synthesis, fuel upgrading in the refineries, production of Fischer Tropsch fuels, vehicles (fuel cells and internal combustion engines) and electricity generation. This session addresses fundamentals, challenges and technology advances in catalysts and catalytic reactor design related to all aspects of hydrogen generation including reactions such as reforming, gasification, water gas shift and clean-up. Papers include theory, kinetics, catalyst preparation, characterization, testing, lifetime evaluation and optimization of operational limits."
