AIChE Sessions at the 2000 American Control Conference
Chicago, 28-30 June 2000
http://che.vill.edu/acc2000/acc.html

This note is to inform you of (i) deadlines for contributed papers, and
(ii) forthcoming calls for abstracts for invited sessions, at the 2000
American Control Conference (ACC).

I. Contributed Papers

Five copies of contributed papers should be sent to me (Ahmet Palazoglu,
AIChE Society Review Chair, address below) by 9 September 1999, with the
manuscript submission form which can be obtained from the ACC web page.
This year we are encouraging electronic submission of the papers, and more
information can also be found on the ACC web site. In order to ensure that your

final manuscript will fit within the prescribed page limits in the conference
proceedings (five proceedings pages for regular papers), please target
approximately 15 single-sided, double-spaced pages, including figures and
references for regular papers. Contributed papers will receive three reviews.

II. Invited Sessions

Invited sessions should generally be based on topics that have not received
enough attention via the contributed paper channel, or that would be more
appropriately dealt with in a focused session. Papers that are in well-covered
areas (ACC mainstream) should be submitted as contributed papers.

We have developed AIChE-sponsored invited sessions for three topics at the
2000 ACC (see below). If you would like to propose an invited session on
another topic, please contact me immediately (anpalazoglu@ucdavis.edu).

Calls for abstracts for the invited sessions will be distributed in the week
following this message. Abstracts should be sent directly to the chairs and
co-chairs for each session by August 9, 1999. You will be informed of the
decision by September 1, 1999.
