   Announcement
   ------------

   The American Automatic Control Council will hold the Twentieth
   American  Control Conference Monday through Wednesday, June 25-27,
   2001 at the Crystal   Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.  Held
   in cooperation with eight member societies, the conference focuses on
   the fields of CONTROL, AUTOMATION, and related areas.

   Call for Papers and Workshops
   -----------------------------

   Papers are solicited in the form of regular manuscripts (5 proceeding
   pages) and short manuscripts (2 pages).  The conference also calls for
   proposals for invited sessions, tutorial sessions, and workshops.
   Nominations are also solicited for the Student Best Paper competition.
