Analysis and Design of Linear Conditioning Schemes for
Systems Containing Saturating Actuators
------------------------------------------------------

Abstract:
A system composed of a linear controller and plant can exhibit strange behaviour when
actuators are subject to saturation, or other nonlinear effects. Linear conditioning means
augmenting the system with a linear transfer function to change the system's behaviour during,
and immediately folowing, saturation. In this talk, linear conditioning is interpreted in terms
of a single transfer function M. This leads to a better understanding of how a conditioned
system behaves, and to a new conditioning scheme.

I will also bring a video (just 5 mins) of H-infinity controlled helicopter flight which you
and others might like to see.
