By May 20th, 380 people have been registered as participants in the meeting and / or associated workshops. Approx. 12 of these will attend only the workshops. The overall number of industrial participants is 136. 69 participants have been registered as students. 40 participants have been registered without meals. Geographically, the participants come from 32 different countries, presenting 201 papers in total: Europe : 276 persons (106 industrial) from 22 countries, with 120 papers. Asia: : 52 persons ( 17 industrial) from 4 countries, with 32 papers. Americas : 47 persons ( 12 industrial) from 4 countries, with 43 papers. Africa : 4 persons ( 1 industrial) (South Africa), with 3 papers. Australia : 1 person ( 0 industrial) with 2 papers. The five largest national groups account for approx. 60 % of the participants, approx. 70% of the industrial participants, and approx. 60% of the papers: Norway : 73 persons (42 industrial), with 17 papers. U.K. : 52 persons (17 industrial), with 39 papers. U.S.A. : 38 persons (11 industrial), with 32 papers. Germany : 34 persons (13 industrial), with 21 papers. Japan : 32 persons (13 industrial), with 18 papers. The Asian participation is characterized by large Japanese and Korean groups with a good percentage of industrial people. No industrial participation from other Asian countries. >From the Americas, all the industrial participants are from US and Canada.
