Status

Ph. D. student since January 1995. Supervisors are Terje Hertzberg, NTNU, and Terje Sira, Institute for Energy Technology. Study is expected to be completed by the end of 1997.

Research Area

Research area is dynamic simulation of chemical processes with focus on methods for whole plants. Partially occupied with the completion of the lectures:

• Matrix methods.
• Chemical reactions engineering.
• Numerical analysis.
• Advanced process simulation.
• Advanced process synthesis.
• Dynamic simulation of processes in chemical engineering.
• Thermodynamics for hydrocarbons.
• Reactor modeling.

• Supervisor for diploma student.

• "Stiffness reduction of gas system models", H.I. Moe, H.C. Riksheim and Terje Hertzberg, ESCAPE 6 paper.

Plans for 1995

• Complete lectures in the spring.
• Continue work with dynamic simulation.
• Spend some time at a foreign university.
