Dear Professor Skogestad
I would like to introduce myself as publishing editor at Elsevier Science
with responsibility for the journal Chemical Engineering Science.
Following a recent meeting with the editors, I would like to extend to you
an invitation to join the International Advisory Panel of the journal. The
International Advisory Panel was introduced in 1999 to help strengthen and
shape the journal in collaboration with the Executive Editors and the
Chairman. Panel members are asked to provide advice and serve the journal
in a specific number of ways, namely
* General support of the aims of the journal and it's development
* Providing constructive criticism on any aspect of the journal
* Submitting at least one paper per year representing the member's
work or that of his group to Chemical Engineering Science and encouraging
colleagues to contribute
* Supporting the Editors in refereeing, both by acting as a reviewer
and adjudicator in the case of controversial submissions
I hope that you will be willing to accept the invitation as your active
collaboration would be highly valued. A complimentary subscription to the
journal is provided for the use of panel members.
I am attending the ESCAPE conference next Tuesday in The Hague and I noticed
you are giving a keynote lecture. Perhaps we could arrange to meet briefly
? If so, please let me know what time on Tuesday (May 28) would be
convenient.
